DBNMS ACCOUNT CREATION

STEP 1 – In your internet browser go to https://dbnms.privacy.gov.ph

In the DBNMS portal, click Sign Up to show the Privacy Statement, read the privacy Statement and if you agree to process your personal data, tick the first check box.

To read the Terms and Conditions, click the link. Once you agree, tick the second checkbox and click.

STEP 2 – Fill out the required information such as:

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Official DPO Email (Please take note that this will also serve as the username of the DBNMS. Make sure that policies and procedures are in place to ensure the continuity of access to the email even if the current user leaves the company.)
  • Contact Number
  • Sex
  • Name of the Organization
  • Sector and Subsector

STEP 3 – Click Create account. A confirmation prompt will appear, click create.

A notification prompt will appear to show the successful creation of the account.

Upon successful account creation, the registered email will receive the following:

  • Email Confirmation – Contains the auto-generated password and a link to the DBNMS. This password can be changed upon logging in.
  • Backup Codes – These can be used in the event that the One Time Pin (OTP) is not received upon logging in.

LOGGING IN YOUR DBNMS ACCOUNT

STEP 1 – In your internet browser go to https://dbnms.privacy.gov.ph STEP 2 – Input account credentials:

Username – Input the registered email during the DBNMS account creation

Password – Input the auto-generated password that came with the confirmation email.

Click login, a login verification email will be sent to the registered email and the OTP prompt will appear.

STEP 3 – Input the received 6-digit OTP and click verify.

NOTE: If no OTP was received upon clicking login, you can use the backup code.

Click “Login via Backup Code” and choose from the list of 10-digit backup codes received during sign up, then click login.

HOW TO CHANGE THE PASSWORD

  1. Login to your DBNMS account
  2. On the upper right corner of the Home page, click the icon with your name. Select My Profile
  3. On the landing page, select Reset Password.
  4. Provide your current password and new password.
  5. Retype the new password to confirm. A strong password contains at least 12 characters, one numerical, uppercase, and special characters.
  6. After providing the required information click Save Changes.

This process will log you out of your current session. To log back in, provide your username, the new password, and the OTP sent to your registered email address. Click Verify.

HOW TO GENERATE NEW BACKUP CODES

Remember to choose this action to create a new set of backup codes if you lost access to yours or if you think your backup codes were stolen.

  1. Login to your DBNMS account
  2. On the upper right corner of the homepage, click the icon with your name and select “My Profile”.
  3. On the landing page, select “Generate Backup Codes”.
  4. A notification will appear informing you that new backup codes were generated and were sent to your registered email.
  5. Check your registered email to check if the generation of the backup codes was successful.

HOW TO UPDATE PROFILE

  1. Login to your DBNMS account.
  2. On the upper right-hand side of the screen, click the arrow button.
  3. Click My Profile.
  4. Click Edit Profile.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS:

  1. Only the following can be changed by the user:
    1. First Name
    1. Last Name
    1. Sex
    1. Contact number
  2. The following can only be changed by the DBNMS Administrator
    1. Name of the Organization
    1. Sector
    1. Sub Sector

Send an email request to admin@dbnms.privacy.gov.ph for such change requests. The email can never be changed either by the user of the DBNMS administrator.
